Erie County Sewer District No. 4’s Vanderbilt and Depew Pump Station project consisted of various general and mechanical improvements to Erie County Sewer District No. 4’s sewage pumping facilities.  In addition to the pump station upgrades, revisions were made to a multi-million gallon overflow retention facility to increase its capacity.  At the pump stations, existing pumping equipment was replaced, instrumentation added and communication systems were modified.  While the pump stations were out of service, a temporary by-payss pumping system was installed to maintain daily flows of 5 – 6 MGD per day.
