990 Pump House Reconstruction

New York State Department of Transportation 990 Pump House Reconstruction and Rehabilitation located in Amherst, New York and Depew, New York.  The project consists of converting an existing 30 year structure from a Wet/Dry Well Pump House to a Wet Well only Pump Station.  The project required installing temporary bypass of the current pump station 36″ storm water intake, removal of equipment and concrete structure, construction of new control building with electrical controls, construction of new concrete, steel framing platforms with FRP access in the pump station and installation of a new 24″ ductile iron discharge line with installation of three new 100 HP submersible pumps.  The project from shutdown to operation was completed in six months.
