West Street Bridge Rehab

Nichols, Long & Moore Construction Corp. was awarded a contract in November 2011 for $2.1M by the Wyoming County Highway Dept in Arcade NY. The contract is for removing a steel truss bridge built in 1934 spanning the Cattaraugus Creek 85’ long over a trout stream.   The existing truss is modified, reconditioned and reinstalled in another location upstream and will be used as a footbridge for the village over the creek. The removed location of the bridge will be replaced by a box beam concrete bridge spanning 81 feet. Also included is a new sanitary sewer pump station and water main that is relocated under the creek with a directional bore. The project is scheduled to be completed by October 1, 2012.
